September 2025 Shoes
How about this pair?
September was a busy month for Bob’s Bags. Donations of clothing, shoes, blankets, and other essentials kept our volunteers busy sorting, folding, and shelving many items.
We accept both summer and winter clothing year around.
We continue to meet people with totally worn out shoes; every outreach we find one or more people with no shoes. We generally give out forty to fifty pairs of pre-owned shoes each month. Our stock of shoes is critically low and we are desperate for larger shoes, women’s (9-11), and men’s (10-15).
All our bags contained a new pair of socks. Gently worn socks are also needed, allowing us to give out extra socks, especially during cold weather.
Furnished this gentleman with a pair of size fourteens.
Not new, but better than his old ones.
Came to us with only socks, left with new shoes.
From no shoes to “new to her” shoes that felt just right.
This month we had the opportunity to assist two local families with much needed clothing and personal care items.
Sunday; we furnished 415 articles of clothing, food, personal care items and supplies to more than 85 homeless men and women.

Beanie hats, gloves, sleeping bags, blankets, and tents are hot commodities this time of year.
Our goal each month is to distribute 100 blankets ($4.00 each), 100 beanie hats ($1.50 each), 100 pairs of gloves ($1.50), 50 sleeping bags ($12.00), and 30 tents (21.00). These items will increase our total monthly cost to $4800.00.
Your tax deductible gift will help us warm the hearts and bodies of our homeless brothers and sisters.
