March 2026 Newsletter Life on the Streets!

Food, water, personal care, safety items, and fresh clothes make life more tolerable.

Jennifer-52 came to us wearing only socks, desperate for shoes. Left with a Bob’s Bag, women’s personal care bag, and a new pair of shoes.

New pair of socks and shoes for this gentleman on this 95 degree day.

Grabbing some shade.

Gina and Soraya-45

Ball caps are much needed on a hot, sunny day! These guys are picking out a ball cap. We brought thirty, and came back with only one. We need old or new ball caps.

LIFE ON THE STREETS

‍ ‍

Homelessness is a horrible way to live, and for many almost inescapable. Reaching out to those that are most needy and underserved will always be our main focus.

Sadly, life expectancy for this group is significantly lower than the general population, and is around 45-50 years of age.

  • Lack of access to healthcare contributes to this reduced lifespan.

  • Substance abuse and mental health issues are prevalent among the homeless.

  • Exposure to harsh weather conditions can lead to serious health complications.

  • Violence and crime can pose significant risks to their safety and well being.

  • Stable housing and healthcare can improve life expectancy for homeless individuals.
