February 2026 Living Under a Bridge
Life under a bridge
This story begins with………….
a dedicated group of volunteers meeting the day before an outreach to assemble bags and gather clothing for the next day’s event. On this morning, we had a huge rainstorm, but 18 faithful volunteers still showed up, some were soaked just getting in the door.
We begin assembling bags and about two minutes later the lights go out. No electricity! Our group says, “no problem”, and still finish the bags in the dark. Then, of course, the lights came back on! PTL
Tom and Gayle busy, along with Judy, Jim, Lynn, Bonnie, Gina, Bobby, Gerald, John, and Ronnie, hidden in the dark.
Sheryl, Kathryn, Prem, and Deb working under a guiding light!.
J.J. and Ella hard at it!
New shoes, clothes, blanket, and bags for this sweet lady!
OUR MISSION IS TO SHARE GOD’S LOVE
Imagine your life, living under Interstate 45, south of downtown Dallas. It’s dirty, nasty, with no bathroom facilities, or fresh water. It’s a horrible way to live.
Most of the folks we meet are good people, that just need a break, and nowhere to get it. Costs of housing and food, underemployment, or unemployment, remain to be a major cause of why they are here.
Sadly, drug addiction and mental illness exacerbate the living conditions in these areas.
WE ARE CALLED TO SERVE
We spend several hours the day before each outreach scouting out areas we deem are most needy. We generally make three to five stops at different locations.
All our bags contain food, water, socks, personal care items, and a large print New Testament. Bath wipes, anti-bacterial wipes, soap, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, and band aids, are all part of the personal items.
New or gently worn clothing and shoes are most needed.
Total items distributed on this outreach:
100 Bags, 36 Ladies personal care bags, 5 dog bags, 566 items of clothing, 32 pairs of shoes, 20 blankets, 23 sleeping bags, and 12 tents.
Our cost for these high demand items is: Sleeping bags ($10.), tents ($20.), and small blankets ($4.50)
Stacy-50 Her prayer is to wake up and be alive
We generally pass out six to eight dog bags for our furry friends
Everyone deserves the best we can offer
LIFE NEAR A SHELTER
Many of our homeless brothers and sisters live near or have some access to a shelter. They are better off than those living under a bridge but still need our help.

We strive to be a beacon of hope, sharing God’s love through practical assistance, heartfelt outreach, and the transformative message of the gospel, believing that every act of kindness is an opportunity to spread hope and faith.
Please take a moment to read through and pray for these that so desperately need our help.
